Hales Group recently revealed that more than 2,000 of their carers up and down the country were nominated for their Hales Heroes scheme during 2022.

Twelve lucky winners were picked from the overall 2,092 and won £1,000 and a Hales Heroes certificate. Many nominees received grocery vouchers, certificates, badges and recognition from their peers on the company’s employee portal.

Now in its fifth year, the Hales Heroes award scheme recognises Hales care workers for their dedication and commitment, encourages innovation, and rewards those who go above and beyond.

Commenting on these awards Nicola Mewse, Managing Director of Hales Group Ltd said: “It has been an incredibly challenging period in social care history, and we wanted to provide a platform for recognising and rewarding our loyal staff as much as possible in 2022.

She continued: “Every individual nominated for a place in the prize draw had to meet the threshold for entry which in itself is recognition of their outstanding achievements.”

Carers were chosen from branches up and down the country, from Grimsby, Peterborough, Ipswich, Leeds, Hull and more, to celebrate the commitment of these special care workers at a time when the profession has more posts than ever, but far fewer applicants to fill them.

To help encourage more to consider a career in the sector, Hales Group will shortly be announcing the rollout of their “Make Caring Your Career” campaign. This encourages professionals in all industries to join the sector by highlighting the longevity and security of the home care industry, establishing the correlation between their current skills and care work, and to show what a thriving and rewarding career social care can offer.
