Hales care worker recognised for excellence

A care worker from Ipswich has been recognised for her excellence by winning a ‘hero’ award from her employer.

Beverley Knight, from the town branch of Hales Home Care, received the Hales Hero Award for Excellence, which is a new initiative to recognise the work of staff.

Mrs Knight received £1,000 and plans to spend the money on a well-earned Caribbean holiday.

Julie Anderson, Ipswich branch manager, said: “Bev is a very deserving winner of the Hales Heroes Draw.

“She is hardworking and supports us to cover any staff absences by being flexible and conscientious. She has shown real commitment to Hales and our customers by walking to all her calls no matter what the weather.

“Despite the recent Beast from the East, Bev was seen trudging through the thick snow to ensure that her customers got the care and support they required.”
