As a Home Care Assistant / Carer / Care Worker in Huddersfield, you will provide person-centred care to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain or regain their health, well-being, and independence.

Areas covered: Huddersfield (HD2, HD3, HD4, HD5, HD7), Dewsbury, Whyke, Newsome, Almondbury, Bradley, Paddock, Dalton, Fenay Bridge, and surrounding villages.

Shifts or hours available: 6am – 2pm, 3pm – 10pm, 6am – 10pm. Other shift patterns/non regular bank work may be available – contact us to discuss.

The Care Assistant Role

• Supporting individuals with their personal care routines including washing, dressing, and attending to toileting needs
• Ensuring service users have adequate grocery supplies
• Assisting individuals in taking their medication
• Preparing warm and nourishing meals
• Helping with light domestic tasks and other care needs
• Providing a valuable companionship lifeline to individuals

The Ideal Hales Care Assistant

• Passionate about helping others.
• A team player with good communication skills.
• Honest and committed to delivery high quality care and support
• Good communication skills – verbal and written to complete accurate records
• Previous experience in care, retail, hospitality or other service industry is welcome but not essential.
• Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle required.
