We are recruiting Out of Hours Coordinators to join our Emergency Duty Team based in Grimsby. The ideal candidate must have care experience. The role involves answering emergency telephone calls from service users, their family members, Care Managers, and our Care Workers in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, Scunthorpe, and Hull, supporting them with their queries. You will also be required to cover care in the event of staff sickness, collaborate with other workers, and may need to provide emergency care in the community yourself. Other duties include:
  • Ensuring all calls, incidents, and sickness are documented and reported/escalated if required.
  • Logging all incoming calls and documenting actions taken.
  • Assigning care to care workers on our electronic care planning system.
  • Adding medication to the service users' electronic MAR charts and ensuring changes to their planned care are updated in real time on the electronic care planning system.
  • Dealing with out-of-hours GP, ambulances, local authorities, and safeguarding when required.

Available shifts

  • Full time: 7am to 2pm and 4pm to 10pm
  • Part time: 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 10pm
  • Winter Pressure: 7am to 7pm, 8am to 8pm, 10am to 10pm
  • Roving Nights: 8pm to 8am (Cleethorpes, Grimsby and Immingham)
Due to the nature of the role, it is desirable to have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
