The Four Winners have been chosen for their unwavering commitment and passion for helping others.

Regional care group Hales is proud to have recently revealed the names of the latest Hales Heroes, who were all chosen for their commitment to their work and for showing their compassion and care for their service users and the work they do every day.

Each month, care workers from all their branches are entered into the Hales Heroes draw on the basis of commitment, integrity and going above and beyond the call of duty.

The winning care workers will each receive an Award for Excellence certificate and £1,000.

So far in 2022, the winners are from Doncaster, Lincolnshire, South Tyneside and Wakefield.

The April Hales Heroes winner Rukhsana Ahmed is based in the Wakefield branch and had this to say, “I enjoy working for Hales and love to see the smiles of the clients that I care for, it gives me a lot of satisfaction.”

“It has made me so happy to win the Hales Heroes award.”

Gerry Hurley, the Wakefield Branch Manager had this to say of Rukhsana, “Rukhsana joined Hales in January 2022 and is a pleasure to work with. She goes above and beyond to help cover care and will show flexibility at a moment’s notice. Our customers have nothing but good things to say about Rukhsana and they enjoy her visits.”

Claire Hart, the Care Manager at Blenkinsop Court was full of praise for March’s winner Christine Kelly, “Christine is over the moon winning this award. She thrives on looking after others and goes above and beyond without even realising it. Christine is an absolute asset to the Blenkinsop Court care team.”

Sadie from Lincolnshire won February’s Hales Heroes award after consistently going above and beyond during the course of her seven-year tenure with Hales Group. Her Manager Nicky Sutcliffe expressed delight at the recognition of one of her team members.

“Our Hales Heroes scheme has always recognised the outstanding efforts of our teams and provided a valuable reward to one team member each month” said Hales Group Managing Director Nicola Mewse.

“Of course, every one of our loyal and committed staff are heroes in our eyes, but this scheme is a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of them.”
