Your responsibilities may include providing personal care (such as washing, dressing, and toileting), assisting with medication, preparing warm and nutritious meals, supporting with light household duties, and ensuring they have essential groceries. Just as importantly, you’ll offer companionship and emotional support – building trusting relationships that make a real difference every day.
Previous experience in care is a bonus, but it’s not essential. What we value most is your attitude and personal qualities. A driving licence is not essential, but it is ideal, as you will be required to travel between clients’ homes or locations. In some areas, we offer walking rounds or accommodate cyclists, making our care roles accessible to both drivers and non-drivers. If you have access to a car or bike, this can help widen your options and flexibility.
Qualifications can be obtained whilst working and earning, however a good standard of numeracy and literacy is needed to maintain accurate records and deliver medication safely.
