Stacey, a Hales service user in Norfolk, is taking on an inspiring challenge to raise funds and awareness for Headway Norfolk and Waveney. The charity provides life-changing support to individuals and families impacted by brain injuries.
In 2023, Stacey’s life took an unexpected turn when she was rushed to the hospital, initially believing she had the flu. Instead, she was diagnosed with viral encephalitis, a serious brain condition that changed her life.
Despite the challenges, Stacey is determined to give back to the charity that has supported her. This February, she is taking part in the Head Out for Headway challenge, with a personal goal to complete 150km. “Every step I take is dedicated to helping brain injury survivors rebuild their lives,” Stacey shared.
She added, “I want to give back to Headway because the help, support, and new friendships they’ve given me have been amazing.”
To support Stacey’s fundraising efforts, Hales Group is organising a virtual charity quiz, inviting staff and service users to join in and support this great cause. Hales aims to not only help raise funds but also bring people together to show solidarity with those living with brain injuries and their families.
Headway Norfolk and Waveney support individuals affected by brain injuries, offering services that help them regain confidence and overcome challenges such as rehabilitation, support groups, and by increasing awareness of brain injury.
By supporting Stacey’s cause, you will be contributing to these life-changing services, helping brain injury survivors to regain their independence and live a better life.
