Hales Homecare Ipswich Takes on the Midnight Walk in Support of St Elizabeth Hospice

Our local Hales Heroes from Ipswich are proud to be taking part in St Elizabeth Hospice’s Midnight Walk 2026.

The event, which takes place on Friday 16 May 2026, will see the team walking through Ipswich through the night, in support of the important work carried out by St Elizabeth Hospice.

About St Elizabeth Hospice

St Elizabeth Hospice is an independent charity that provides specialist care and support for people living with progressive and life limiting illnesses, as well as offering bereavement support to families and loved ones.

Much of the hospice’s care is delivered within people’s own homes, helping individuals to remain in familiar surroundings and stay close to family during some of the most difficult times of their lives. The charity relies heavily on fundraising and community support to continue delivering its services across East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney.

Taking on the Midnight Walk

The St Elizabeth Hospice Midnight Walk is an annual fundraising event in Ipswich, bringing together individuals, teams and organisations to walk through the town overnight in support of hospice care.

People take on the challenge at midnight as a way to remember loved ones, show support for others, and raise vital funds to help ensure hospice services can continue to support local families when they need it most.

Supported by Hales Group, Kelly Mildren, Gemma Havelock, Kirsty Brill, Cheryl Pastfield, Gail Desmond-Hurst, and Anita Taylor will all be participating in the Midnight Walk.

Kelly Mildren, Hales Homecare Ipswich Area Registered Manager, shared:

“Our team will be walking at midnight to support St Elizabeth Hospice, a charity that provides compassionate care and comfort to people across our community. Working in adult social care, we see the impact of their vital work every single day. Taking part in the St Elizabeth Hospice Midnight Walk is our way of giving something back and helping ensure these vital services continue for others in our community.”
