Hales Group Awarded Contract to Deliver Intermediate Care Service in Essex

Hales Group, a leading provider of personalised, tech-enabled homecare, is proud to announce it has been awarded the contract to deliver Intermediate Care service in South-East and South-West Essex.

Home to Assess is a short-term intermediate care service designed to provide a period of support and assessment in an adult’s home before any long-term care arrangements are arranged, where necessary.

The new contract will see Hales deliver personalised support each week, supporting individuals in the area to recover and regain their independence after a hospital stay.

Nicola Mewse, Group Managing Director, commented:

“We are delighted to be working again with Essex County Council to deliver the Home to Assess service across the county. This service is more than short-term care. It helps individuals recover after a hospital stay or period of ill health, rebuilding confidence, improving wellbeing and regaining independence at home.

By supporting recovery at home, we not only improve lives but also ease pressure on the NHS. This is in line with the NHS 10-year plan to increase care in the communities where it is most needed, and where a variety of healthcare professionals can work in partnership.

Alongside this, the new contract is creating new job opportunities and career progression for local people who want to make a difference in their community.

With our established domiciliary care and Extra Care services across Essex, this new contract allows us to extend the support we can offer to individuals and families.”

Dennis Dennis, Head of Care, shared:

“After a warm introduction into the Essex County Council system, we’re really looking forward to getting this contract mobilised. Our top priority is to mobilise the service safely, making sure everything is in place from day one. We’re excited to contribute to providing high-quality, tech-enabled care that allows people to remain in the comfort of their own homes.

With our established domiciliary care experience in the East of England, we’re in a strong position to deliver personalised support, and we’re equally looking forward to the collaborative working, learning, and upskilling that this contract will bring for everyone involved.”
