I have been working in the care sector for 10 years, and every day it continues to teach me something new about empathy, resilience, and human connection.
I first joined Hales in 2018 and it’s been an incredibly rewarding journey ever since. Hales stood out to me because of their reputation for putting people first, both clients and staff. Their commitment to quality care and professional development gave me confidence that I’d be part of a team that genuinely values what I do.
Knowing that I play a role in improving someone’s quality of life is the biggest motivation in my role. Whether it’s a smile, a thank you, or just knowing I made someone feel heard, those moments fuel my passion for what I do.
Career pathway
I began my journey in home care initially working in an admin role. I was drawn to this role because I’ve always had a strong instinct to help people, and I wanted to make a positive difference in their lives.
Over the years, I’ve taken on a variety of roles that have helped me grow both personally and professionally. I progressed from an Administrator to a Support Worker, then onto Team Leader, Care Coordinator, and Quality Assurance Officer. Each position gave me valuable experience in care planning, staff management, and service delivery.
