I had been working in the recruitment sector for many years and after 15 years running the Non Regulated recruitment division of Hales Group. I was pleased to accept the challenge of transitioning to the homecare team to develop our network of branches and expand services, with particular emphasis on governance, bids and tenders, contracts and people services.
I had a long career working for major high street recruitment brands and had relocated to a small town in Norfolk where Hales was already established in one location. I walked in fully expecting to do some temporary work for them, I hadn’t imagined still being here 25 years later as Group Managing Director and an additional 31 locations but that is testament to the values, family of colleagues and strong partnerships built over those years which make Hales Group such an incredible place to work.
What motivates me in my role is knowing that we are doing our absolute best to drive good practice, supporting every individual that uses our services or is part of our team, to receive an outstanding experience of Hales Group.
Career Pathway
I started my career in Department for Work and Pensions, now the Job Centre, became a Recruitment Consultant, then took on my first branch as Manager at the age of 23. This then led to a Regional Manager, Area Director, Divisional Director and ultimately now Group Managing Director.Â
