Qualifications:

I’m CIPD qualified as an HR professional and am currently working towards a Level 7 in Strategic People Management.

About me

I was inspired to work in care because I’ve always been driven by a desire to be thoughtful and helpful, and the care sector gives real meaning to that. In care, every day feels purposeful.

I began my journey in care nine years ago when I joined Hales in August 2016, where a fantastic opportunity allowed me to delve deeper into HR. What continues to motivate me is the ability to create meaningful change in people’s working lives, whether that’s resolving complex employee relations issues or supporting teams through sensitive challenges.

I find real purpose in being a steady, solutions-focused presence, and I thrive on the collaboration that comes from working closely with colleagues across the organisation.

Career pathway

Over the past nine years, I’ve progressed through various roles, each one strengthening my commitment to people-centred leadership. From supporting frontline teams to navigating employee relations and compliance, I’ve always been motivated by the chance to make a meaningful difference in people’s working lives. That passion led me to my current role as Head of People Services, where I oversee the HR function across the organisation, including our international sponsored workforce and TUPE transitions.

A typical day involves everything from strategic planning and policy development to supporting managers through sensitive matters and ensuring our teams feel heard, valued, and equipped.

What I enjoy most is the collaboration – working closely with colleagues across departments to create a culture of trust, fairness, and continuous improvement. Whether I’m guiding a team through change or celebrating a colleague’s milestone, I’m proud to be part of a sector where every action has purpose and impact.
