Darryl Yates

I am passionate about making a difference. I work well under pressure and love a challenge that each day in care brings. I also like that no two days are the same and the feeling of success knowing that we are dedicating our lives to help people who need us most. 

My journey into care began when I was younger, helping to look after my Nana who had Alzheimer’s and dementia. I really enjoyed it and knew I wanted to continue making a difference to other people’s lives. At the time, I was working in retail and would walk past a care company each day. I didn’t think I’d be qualified to be a care worker, but I decided to go in and enquire, which led to my first job in care. 

Since 2014, I’ve worked in the care sector, building on my experience and staying committed to delivering high standards of care. I joined Hales in November 2024, as I was looking for a fast-paced management role and knew that, as an established provider in the area, Hales would be a great fit for me. 

Career pathway 

I began my career as a care worker and have progressed through roles as a Field Care Supervisor, Care Coordinator, Deputy Manager, and now Branch Manager for Hales Home Care Scunthorpe.
