Expertise & Accreditations

Hales Home Care has been offering bespoke person-centred care to the most vulnerable people in our society for over two decades. We are one of the UK’s leading specialist care providers with over 30 services up and down the country.

As our society has changed over the years, so too have individual care requirements, and we’re proud to say that we use our expertise and experience to deliver a wide range of care services, from those that require short term reablement care to long term dementia care and much, much more.

Our job is to listen, advise and create with you the best care and support plans possible. Our highly trained and experienced care staff can give you all the information you need to make informed decisions about the care of you or your loved one, to continue living as independently as possible.

Fully Regulated & Accredited

We are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and officers of the authorities that commission care. We are also active members of the representative body, the Homecare Association.

We have branches around the country and we work very closely with local authorities, clinical commissioning groups, and other organisations to offer the very best care to our service users.

The CQC is the independent regulator of Health and Social Care organisations in England, with the primary goal of ensuring that the most vulnerable people in society have access to safe care that is both effective and responsive to their needs.

They monitor, inspect and regulate all aspects of our services to ensure we meet the fundamental needs of our service users. The specific areas they assess include:

Safety

Ensuring our service is safe, and you are protected from abuse and avoidable harm, with a focus on safeguarding procedures, premises safety, and staff recruitment checks.

Effectiveness

Assessing whether the care we provide achieves good outcomes and promotes your quality of life.

Caring

Examining the quality of our relationship with you, and whether the care we deliver is kind, compassionate and respectful of your dignity.

Responsiveness

Evaluating how well our service meets your needs and adapts to your changing requirements.

Well Led

Assessing the leadership and governance of Hales, including management and staff training, as well as our overall effectiveness as an organisation.

During inspections, the CQC considers a range of evidence, such as feedback from service users, their families, and staff, as well as reviewing documentation and observing care being delivered.

We are also inspected by local authority monitoring officers on a regular basis to ensure we are delivering care and support in line with the contract specifications awarded to us. So you can be assured you are receiving the very best care from an organisation committed to providing it.

Training & Standards

We know just how crucial it is to ensure that all our employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to offer only the highest levels of support that we’ve become known for.

This is why we’ve created one of the industry leading training programmes that ensures all our staff can uphold the standards of the Hales Group and the relevant care regulations.

All new carers that join Hales Care are thoroughly vetted and undergo enhanced DBS clearance, as well as reference and right to work checks.

Upon appointment they all undertake our rigorous home care training programmes, delivered in a blended way, both digitally and face to face, instructed by our in-house care trainers.

Even after graduating from Hales Care Academy, our carers continue to receive ongoing training and support to help aid both professional and personal development throughout their career with us.

Accreditations

In addition to being regulated by the Care Quality Commission, we’ve received the Investors in People Accreditation and we’re also ISO 9001 Quality Management compliant, which means we’re held accountable for retaining high standards in every aspect of our work.

We are Cyber Essentials and NHS Data Protection Security Toolkit compliant and hold relevant Health & Safety accreditation for our services.

We are also members of the Homecare Association, Dignity in Care, and corporate members of the Recruitment & Employment Federation. We are committed to reducing the impact of our services on the environment and have joined forces with Positive Planet to work towards a more environmentally sustainable organisation.
